BPA receive prestigious National Paralympic Committee of the Year award
The British Paralympic Association (BPA) received its National Paralympic Committee of the Year award at the H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Creative Sports Awards in Dubai on Monday.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the President of the National Olympic Committee, rewarded winners of the various categories at the 8th Edition of the Awards, which honour local and Arab sporting figures as well as others from around the world.
BPA Chairman Tim Reddish and Chief Executive Tim Hollingsworth were present to collect the National Paralympic Committe award for implementing a programme "based on integrity & transparency... expanding opportunities for athletes to attain medals and motivating the upcoming generations."
The prestigious ceremony was held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, and H.H. Princess Haya Bint Al-Hussain, the Wife of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
