Mickey Bushell

Bushell went down in British sporting history after his gold medal triumph at the Paralympic Games in London four years ago. In capturing the 100m title, the Weir Archer Academy athlete won his first major gold medal on the biggest stage after a series of silver medals since the Beijing Paralympic Games.

After battling with illness in 2015, Bushell made an encouraging return to action by winning the European title in Grosseto as well as 400m bronze. The Birchfield Harrier will be one to watch out for once again at his third Paralympic Games in Rio.
