Derek Rae & David Weir withdraw from the Marathon

Unfortunately Derek Rae & David Weir have withdrawn from the Marathon. Derek withdrew before the 30k and David before the 5k mark.

Simon Lawson is still going strong though and half way through he is sitting in 14th place.

Golden girl Kadeena Cox, crowned Paralympic Champion in both athletics and cycling on her Paralympic debut, has been chosen as flagbearer for Great Britain at the Rio 2016 Closing Ceremony.

Bethany Firth and Jessica-Jane Applegate finish off our time in the pool with a 1 & 2 in the 200m Individual Medley SM14. Smashing the Paralympic Record Beth Firth came in a fantastic first claiming the Gold and Jess followed suit.

Our Wheelchair Basketball and Sailing success today means we have now won medals in 15 sports at #Rio2016. That equals our best ever.
